Arise and HT Skogar partners up to strengthen the power supply in the middle of Sweden

Arise and Hällefors Tierp Skogar (HT Skogar) have together identified an exciting opportunity to develop more than 1 500 MW onshore wind power on land owned by HT Skogar.

To seize this opportunity, Arise has entered into an agreement with HT Skogar which provides Arise exclusive rights to develop potential wind farms in the concerned areas.

The land areas have in common that they are all located in price area 3 and can potentially strengthen the power supply in a region that is in the proximity to the larger cities Stockholm, Uppsala, Västerås and Örebro, where the long term need for electricity is substantial.

With this partnership Arise’s development portfolio amounts to more than 2 600 MW.

Daniel Johansson, VD, Arise AB: ”We hope to be able to contribute even more to the country’s power supply by developing more wind farms and are very pleased to take on this important task together with HT Skogar!”

Dan Glöde, CEO, HT Skogar: ”Complimentary to our active and sustainable forestry operations it is very satisfying to create opportunities for the development of renewable CO2 free electricity production in the middle of Sweden together with Arise, one of the leading companies within onshore wind power.”
